NationalElectoral Commission Clears Path for LC1, LC2 Elections
The Electoral Commission has released a progressive roadmap for local council (LC1 & LC2) and Women’s Council elections across Uganda's 71,214 villages, backed by a Shs56 billion government budget, with double-voter registration commencing July 6 and polling scheduled throughout July and August 2026.
